Sorry in advance for the short post today. I was sick all day on Friday after receiving my second shot of the covid vaccine. I am feeling better now, and things should get back to normal today.
While we don’t have any of our local schools in their conference tournaments, there is still a lot of good basketball to watch today.

The Chiefs are restructuring Patrick Mahomes’ $21.7 million roster bonus to a signing bonus. The move will save the team $17 million towards the salary cap. This is expected to happen every year under his new contract.
The Chiefs are discussing re-signing OL Mike Remmers. With Eric Fisher, Mitchell Schwartz, and Austin Reiter no longer with the team, it makes sense to signing Remmers to a lesser deal. Remmers was good for the Chiefs at right tackle when Mitchell Schwartz was out last season. The team ran into problems when they had to move Remmers to left tackle for the Super Bowl because of Fisher’s Achilles injury.
Kansas Out Of Big 12 Tournament
Kansas had to exit the Big 12 tournament Friday because of a positive covid test. The positive test was from a player who participated in Thursday’s win over Oklahoma. The Jayhawks are confident that they will still be able to participate in the NCAA tournament. They expect David McCormack and Tristian Enaruna to be back for the NCAA tournament. The player who tested positive on Friday, who we still don’t know the identity yet, will likely miss the first round of the tournament.
Bucs Extend Brady
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers extended QB Tom Brady one year so that his contract effectively ends after the 2022 season. That would be Brady’s age 45 season. Brady has said that he wants to play until he is 45. The move saves the team $19 million against the cap in 2021.
