They aren’t playing games but that won’t stop us from having fun. Below is what we learned yesterday. Maybe this time without sports will give us a chance to do things we haven’t done in a while. Maybe it will let us spend more time with family. I’m not sure how I will get through the time. I’ll probably spend more time on my yard when the rain stops. And I’ll catch up on some TV shows and movies I haven’t seen.

IN THE NEWS…
– Major League Baseball is sending players home from spring training. Players can remain in spring training but there will be no formal workouts and players will only be able to use weight rooms, mounds and indoor cages.
– There were some reports that the NCAA considered creating a bracket even after cancelling the tournament but that is not going to happen.
– The Associated Press will release one final basketball poll on Wednesday.
– The NFL has told teams that they are not to attend pro days, private workouts, meet with prospects or have any pre-draft visits to team facilities.
PODCAST: I talked about the effect the coronavirus has had on sports in the Thursday podcast. While it will continue to be in the news, the podcast will not focus on it like all radio programs seem to be these days. I’ll touch on updates but then the podcast will get back sports.
