Here is your daily Dr. Feelgood…
Kansas will make its formal response to the NCAA public on Thursday. This is in response to the NCAA’s notice of allegations from the FBI investigation. Kansas rejects the NCAA’s assertion that Adidas representatives were boosters of the program. Kansas also disagrees that they lacked institutional control.
IN THE NEWS…
– Boston Red Sox pitcher Chris Sale will have an MRI on his elbow. He reported soreness after throwing recently. Sale signed a five-year, $145 million contract last offseason. The contract takes him through 2024.
– The Denver Broncos traded a 2020 fourth-round draft pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for CB A.J. Bouye. Bouye has two years left on his contract at $13 million per year. The trade can’t be made official until March 18. The Broncos had an extra fourth-round pick that they acquired when they traded Emanuel Sanders to San Francisco during the season. The trade likely means Chris Harris Jr. will not return to Denver.
TODAY: Kansas hosts TCU at 7:00 pm on ESPN+. It’s Senior Night for the Jayhawks. A win clinches a tie for the Big 12 conference title and starts a new streak after a one-year absence from the top spot.
PODCAST: The Sunday night podcast was a fun one. I talked about the weekend’s college basketball games. I also talked about the problem I have with the KenPom ratings, what the Chiefs should do with Chris Jones, what the Royals should do with Whit Merrifield, Sporting’s season-opening win, and more.
