We need to get to the conference tournaments because there are some ugly things happening, especially in the Big 12. Cartier Diarra appears to be more interested in leaving than staying in Manhattan, Kansas. Texas will be looking for a new coach. There’s good news about Ryan Newman.
Here is your daily Dr. Feelgood…
KANSAS STATE AT TEXAS TECH
What is going on with Cartier Diarra and Kansas State? If you remember, Fran Fraschilla said a couple of weeks ago that he thinks that Diarra has checked out on the Wildcats and is looking forward to leaving school after the season to play professionally instead of returning for his senior season.
During Wednesday’s game at Texas Tech, Diarra and Bruce Weber had words for each other during a media timeout and Weber threw a stool down at the floor. If Diarra is looking to leave Kansas State he’s certainly not doing it on good terms.
This season is turning into a dumpster fire for the Wildcats. The Wildcats have five more regular-season games remaining and the Big 12 tournament and they will be done. They aren’t going to a postseason tournament this season and that’s probably for the best. It’s been a very disappointing season for Kansas State. Bruce Weber hasn’t been able to find anything to turn this team around. The state of Kansas State basketball will be discussed in the Thursday night podcast.
Shaka Smart appears to be near the end of his time coaching the Texas Longhorns. Tonight’s game was practically empty right before tipoff.
