The Chiefs are in Miami for the Super Bowl. Kobe Bryant and one of his daughters died in a helicopter crash in California.
Here is your daily Dr. Feelgood… You know what? Maybe today it isn’t a feelgood but here it is anyway.
The Chiefs arrived in Miami on Sunday to prepare for the Super Bowl next Sunday. The team will be doing all kinds of media events this week in addition to preparing for the game. The team put the game plan in this past week as if they were playing yesterday so they are ready to go.
Kobe Bryant was one of nine people killed in a helicopter crash Sunday in California. Bryant was 41 years old.
WHAT TO WATCH
Kansas travels to Stillwater, Oklahoma to play Oklahoma State. Kansas will be favored in this game but the Jayhawks have historically had trouble in Stillwater regardless of how good the teams are in any particular season. Kansas needs a win to remain one game back of Baylor in the loss column. Oklahoma State is currently in last place in the Big 12 with an 0-6 conference record. The Cowboys led Baylor at home by nine at halftime recently only to lose by seven.
In the Sunday podcast this week, I talked a lot about the Astros’ sign-stealing scandal in Major League Baseball. I went through the arguments and punishment and explained why Scott Boras is completely wrong regarding his reasons for why he said that the players do not need to apologize. I also talked a little about the games played by the local college hoops teams over the weekend.
