Hopefully, everyone had a Merry Christmas. I hope you had the opportunity to spend time with family and just relax. I know I had a great day as always. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family.
Today we get back into the swing of things. The sports news should start to ramp back up. The Chiefs are preparing for their final game of the regular season.
The news on Christmas was slow which is a good thing. What little news there was, was bad for the Chiefs. And the Chicago White Sox who have been trying to sign every free agent both this year and last year landed a nice bat on a good contract.
Here is your daily Dr. Feelgood…
The Chiefs placed RB Spencer Ware on injured reserve and activated DT Xavier Williams. Ware played in just three games for the Chiefs this season. He had 17 carries for 51 yards. He was added to the team in early December because of injuries to both Damien Williams and Darrell Williams. Ware is the second Chiefs running back to be placed on injured reserve this season. Darrell Williams was recently placed on IR because of a hamstring injury. Damien Williams, LeSean McCoy and Darwin Thompson are expected to get carries in the game on Sunday.
Xavier Williams is returning from an ankle injury. He could be available this Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.
- The Chicago White Sox signed Edwin Encarnacion to a one-year, $12 million contract with a $12 million club option for 2021.
WHAT I’M WATCHING: I will catch what I can of the two bowl games today. Louisiana Tech plays Miami at 3:00pm and Pittsburgh plays Eastern Washington at 7:00pm.
