The Chiefs claimed former Arizona Cardinals’ LB Terrell Suggs off waivers even though he had previously said that he wouldn’t report to his claiming team unless it was his former team, the Baltimore Ravens. However, Nate Taylor of The Athletic confirmed Monday afternoon and others confirmed around 9pm Monday night that Suggs will in fact report to the Chiefs. Suggs will make $352,941 through 2019 and is an unrestricted free agent after the season. New Orleans, San Francisco, and Seattle also put in waiver claims for Suggs. The Chiefs have the worst record of the teams putting in claims which is why they were awarded the claim. Denver Broncos LB Von Miller expressed his frustration with the team after the 23-3 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday. He is having a hard time with the way the last few years have gone for the team. He said that he entered the league and went to the playoffs five consecutive seasons and now they are losing by so much even though they have changed all of the coaches and changed a lot of the players. He is at a loss for words.
Denver coach Vic Fangio said on Monday that he heard about Miller’s comments. Fangio said that he would talk with Miller but attributes the comments to frustration to losing to the Chiefs yet again.
This feels strange to Chiefs fans. For so many years the Chiefs struggled to beat the Broncos when John Elway was their quarterback. The tables have turned over the past few years. The Chiefs have not lost to the Broncos since 2015 and they outscored the Broncos 53-9 in the two games played this season.

WHAT I’M WATCHING: There isn’t anything of local sports interest to watch Tuesday night. I’ll either be watching a Christmas movie with the family or a college basketball game. If the movie doesn’t happen I will probably watch the Oklahoma game at Creighton. That game is on FS1 at 7:30pm.
