Royals outfielder Jorge Soler is a finalist for the 2019 Players Choice American League Comeback Player. Soler led the American League with 48 home runs and 117 runs batted in after an injury plagued 2018 season. Lucas Giolito and Hunter Pence are the other finalists.
The Kansas City T-Bones issued a press release saying that they are progressing toward a sale which could keep the team in town. The incoming owner is in talks with the Unified Government.
The AAC released its preseason poll. The top four were Houston, Memphis, Cincinnati and Wichita State. Memphis coach Anfernee Hardaway can’t be pleased with this. He previously said that his team is going to win the national championship.
WR Anquan Boldin announced his retirement from the NFL. In 14 seasons Boldin earned $65.5 million according to Spotrac.
