Mahomes scares Chiefs fans in third preseason game
The third preseason game for the Chiefs saw them host the San Francisco 49ers Saturday night. The first team offense played just into the early part of the second quarter.
The offense looked good as usual. Patrick Mahomes scared every Chiefs fan when he tried to run for a first down and was hit as he dove forward. He didn’t get the first down but he also didn’t get hurt so everyone was happy.
Patrick Mahomes found Damien Williams on a wheel route down the sideline and dropped the pass between two defenders for a 62-yard touchdown reception.
The defense still needs a lot of work. Frank Clark beat his man for a sack. They did struggle getting off the field though. San Francisco converted a few third downs on their opening drive.
The final preseason game is Thursday at Green Bay.
