Rookie safety Juan Thornhill ran some drills inside the red zone with the first team defense on Monday. He intercepted Patrick Mahomes in the end zone. Daniel Sorensen worked with the second team during those drills.
Recently signed CB Morris Claiborne will likely not play Saturday at Pittsburgh. Andy Reid said Claiborne might need more time to work with the defense.
The Chiefs signed TE Manasseh Garner and waived RB Josh Caldwell. Caldwell scored a touchdown in the first preseason game against Cincinnati. Caldwell attendee Northwest Missouri State.
Jorge Soler was named the American League Player of the Week. Soler had six home runs and 12 runs batted in with a 1.824 OPS.
Major League Baseball released the 2020 schedules on Monday. The Royals will host Los Angeles, Arizona and San Diego from the National League. The Royals will travel to Arizona, Colorado and San Francisco. At the end of August and beginning of September the Royals spend six days in the Bay Area with three games at San Francisco follows by three at Oakland. Eric Homer will return to Kauffman Stadium in July.

Gerso Fernandes’ injury from Saturday is apparently more serious than initially thought. He is expected to miss Wednesday’s game at Orlando.
Oakland Raiders WR Antonio Brown lost his arbitration case to wear his old helmet. He will have to wear a new helmet if he wants to play in the NFL.
Antonio Brown said that he will play with the new helmet.
ESPN has hired Ed Werder as a Dallas bureau reporter effective immediately. Werder was one of many laid off by the network in 2016. It’s believed that he is the first of those employees re-hires full-time by the network.
